You heard me! If you’re eligible, you can be an astronaut!

What does it take?

If you’re an American citizen and have a master’s degree in a STEM subject, you meet the basic requirements to apply. You will also need 2 years of professional experience, either in your field of study or 1’000 hours of pilot-in-command time in a jet aircraft, and to pass a spaceflight physical.

Instead of a master’s, you can have either a PhD or MD, or completion of a certified test-pilot program.

You can learn more about NASA astronauts here!

Applications close on the 2nd of March!

So you need to be applying really soon! I may be too young and too European to apply, but as soon as ESA start another application round, you bet I’ll be waving my CV in everyone’s face who works there!

More information can be found here. You’ll never get a place if you don’t try!
